The original Nexus rods have been a staple in our brand since our entrance into the fishing tackle market. When the original Nexus rods were first introduced, they swept the market by storm once anglers came to understand they would be getting a premium carbon fiber fishing rod at a fraction of market competition's price. The Nexus 2.0s are now built with 24T carbon fiber, sourced from Toray's Japan factory. Toray is widely known for being one of the top manufacturers of carbon fiber sheets in the world, used to make some of the top of the line fishing rods in the world. This upgrade in the raw material now results in a stronger, more durable, and more sensitive fishing rod. We've also added a layer of textured carbon fiber that not only makes these rods more aesthetically pleasing, but helps reinforce the integrity of the blank. Another major upgrade is we've opted to outfit these rods with Fuji's New Concept O Ring guides. Jigging World Nexus 2.0 Rods
Picked up a conventional 7’ MH action to do triple duty for stripers, sea bass and fluke. Sensitive enough for sea bass and fluke and powerful enough for large stripers. Ordered it on line and the delivery person laid it horizontally directly in front of my wife’s garage door. Of course she backed over the package, not once but twice once startled. Unbelievably it came through with no damage whatsoever! Used it the very next day and came up with my PB fluke at 8.4#. Love this rod. My boys have both their spinning and conventional rods and are extraordinarily pleased with the value, performance and durability of the Nexus line.
Works excellent on stripers.
Bought 4 of last year model when the 2.0 came out. Got a great deal figured I’d give them a shot. I’ve been chartering and commercial fishing for over 30 years. I’ve seen and tested most everything out there. For the $ these are the best I’ve come across. Used the 7’6” M/H the last 2 weeks on a savage eel night bite. Hung fish up to 50 lbs. these rods are light and sensitive. I was surprised at the way they smoothly loaded on the strike. Upon reeling down the backbone became apparent. Perfectly balanced and more than enough power on the long runs in the current. No pulled hooks no missed bites. When I got back I looked to see if the deal was still going to buy 4 more but they were sold out. Guess I’ll be getting the new model the 2.0. If ur looking for what I would say is best in class for the money don’t hesitate to grab one of these up….Below is a picture of my boy last week with a 50 inch striper his PB thanks Jigging World!
