Don't even know where to start, I just got the 7'3 MH spinning and I'm super impressed. When they say 2-6 oz lure rating, that's being super generous, some high quality PE2 braid allowed me to throw 1/4 oz metals for trout, along with testing some big poppers. Cork grip is firm and feels good in hand, upgraded from my Onyx and I can say with certainty this is worth the money! Paired super well with my Saltx II 4000, only regret I have is not buying this sooner for flutter spooning in the spring. 10/10 Rod for anything inshore, truly a do-it-all rod. Sensitivity is also exceptional, feel every single tap on here. The weight to power ratio is super low, snappy casts from a large range of lure weights, but with enough backbone to trust it when I hook into something big. Favorite rod I've ever fished.
I got the 7’3 mh spinning model and am very happy with it. The rod is very sensitive and really powerful for fighting bigger fish. I was easily able to keep them out of the rocks despite current and more so the rod is extremely light but also VERY durable. Only thing is I wish they would come out with a longer version but it still casts very well and I highly recommend.
Absolutely phenomenal rod. Caught my first Mahi and Triple tail with it by the lobster pots.
the lightest, most sensitive rod with a sturdy backbone that can feel the bites and set the hook hard. any north east angler’s dream rod
I’ve used a lot of rods over the years, and the Jigging World Night Ranger has quickly become my favorite for fluke fishing. The sensitivity is incredible—you can feel every tap, every change in the bottom, and even the lightest bites that other rods would miss.
The backbone is perfectly balanced with a responsive tip, making it easy to work bucktails and Gulp while still having plenty of power to drive the hook home and handle quality fish. Whether I’m drifting shallow water or fishing deeper reefs with heavier jigs, this rod performs flawlessly.
The build quality is top-notch with premium components, and it’s comfortable to fish with all day without fatigue. Paired with a quality spinning reel and braided line, it’s an absolute pleasure to use.
If you’re serious about fluke fishing and want a rod that’s lightweight, sensitive, and powerful, I can’t recommend the Jigging World Night Ranger enough. It has exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one.
10/10 – One of the best fluke rods I’ve ever owned.
